STAGINGStaging: separate database, no real money, nothing here reaches a customer.
Everything it does

The whole thing, in detail.

Every part of the product, what it does, and what it does not do. 28 features, the honest limits, and exactly what happens between a customer tapping your link and money reaching your bank. Nothing here is a teaser for a higher tier, because there isn't one.

01

Your booking page

The page your clients actually book from, and what it does for them.

A page of your own

Your name, your logo, your services, your prices, and nobody else's salon on it.

Clients open a link and book. There is no app for them to download and no account they have to make. It loads fast on a phone, which is where nearly all of it happens, and it can be saved to a home screen like an app if they want.

Five looks, and your own color

Pick a style, set your accent color, and the whole page follows it.

You are choosing a look, not building a website. The layout is fixed on purpose - it is the one we know converts - so there is no way to accidentally end up with a page that does not work on a phone. One of the five follows the client's own light or dark setting.

See changes before anyone else does

The editor shows your real page updating as you type.

It is not a mock-up that might look different once saved: it is your actual booking page, previewing edits you have not committed. Nothing is public until you save, and clients cannot reach a preview.

Your own web address

Point a domain you own at your page and that is the only address clients see.

Once it is verified, every link we make uses your address - appointment pages, receipts, QR codes, all of it. We handle the certificate, and an apex domain gets its www twin set up alongside it so nobody hits a security warning.

A QR code and a link, ready to use

For the front desk, the window, your card, your Instagram bio and your Google listing.

Generated for you, no design work needed. The Google listing is the one that matters most: putting your link there is worth more to your booking count than everything else put together, and we walk you through it.

03

Taking appointments

What happens between a client booking and them leaving the chair.

A live appointment board

New bookings appear on their own, with a sound, without anyone refreshing.

It shows the service, the time, who is doing it, the client's note, the deposit paid and what is left to collect. You check them in, do the work, and mark it done. It is a web page, so it runs on the laptop, phone or tablet you already own.

Ways to be told, and email is in all of them

A tablet at the front desk, email on its own, or both.

There is deliberately no option without email. Tablets get unplugged and batteries go flat, and an inbox has no moving parts. Your own login address is always on the recipient list and cannot be removed, and you can add up to eight other inboxes.

No double bookings, ever

Two clients tapping the same time at the same moment cannot both get it.

The database decides, not a check that ran a moment earlier and was already stale by the time it answered. A canceled appointment releases its time straight away, and a service that runs long blocks the time it actually needs rather than a fixed slot.

A page for every client

They get a link showing their appointment, so nobody rings you to check.

No login needed - the link is the key. It shows the service, the time, what they paid, what is left, your address, your phone number as digits they can read, and directions if we know where you are.

Cancellations, no-shows and refunds

Keep the deposit on a no-show, or refund it, in a couple of taps.

You set the cancellation window and whether an early cancellation returns the deposit. Every change is recorded with a time and a reason, so a dispute weeks later has an actual timeline behind it rather than somebody's memory. Refunds are capped at what was paid, and a failed one is shown to you rather than swallowed.

Appointment history you can search

Every appointment you have ever taken, searchable, with what happened to it.

Including who did it and whether they turned up. When a client says they booked something they did not, this is the answer.

04

Money

Who pays what, where it goes, and whose bank account it lands in.

No monthly bill and no commission

We take no percentage of your takings and send you no invoice.

A $500 day and a $50 day cost you the same: nothing. A $2.99 booking fee is added to the client's payment at checkout instead, shown to them as its own line before they pay. That is what funds the platform.

The money is yours from the moment it is paid

Deposits go to your own account and into your own bank.

We never hold your takings. Payments run through Stripe on an account in your name, and payouts follow Stripe's schedule straight to your bank. Nobody here can sit on your money, including us.

The fee is disclosed, always

Clients see it before they pay and again on the receipt.

It is a flat $2.99, the same on a trim and on a full color, because the booking is the same work either way. It is generated as its own line and cannot be edited out of a receipt by anyone, including us.

05

Your client list

The part that is actually the point: an asset you own and can take with you.

A name and number from every appointment

Built automatically as you work, with what each person has booked before.

This is the thing a marketplace never gives you. It is the difference between renting access to your own clients and owning the relationship.

Download it whenever you want, including on the way out

Export the lot to a spreadsheet, any time, no questions.

Holding your list hostage would defeat the entire point of the product, so there is nothing to ask for and nobody to ring.

Bring a list you already have

Upload a spreadsheet of clients and it merges with what you have.

It shows you what it will do before it does it, and an import can be undone - anyone who has since booked is kept, so undoing never puts a hole in your own appointment history.

Tags, filters and saved groups

Group your regulars, your color clients, whoever you like.

Search by what they spent, when they last came in, how often, or a tag you made up. Save a search and it stays there.

Confirmations and reminders, sent for you

A confirmation on booking, a reminder the day before, another a couple of hours ahead.

We only ever email your clients about their own appointment - the confirmation, the reminders, a cancellation, a refund. We never advertise to your list, and we do not sell it or share it. Everything we send carries a working unsubscribe, and anyone who opts out stays opted out.

06

Running the place

The parts that matter once you have been open a few months.

Numbers that answer a question

What gets booked, when you are busy, what a client is worth, and how many visits become bookings.

Including how people found you and where they gave up. Reckoned in your own timezone, so 'yesterday' means what you mean by yesterday.

Logins for your team

Everyone gets their own, by invite.

A shared login means your appointment history cannot tell you who did what when something is disputed. Invites are single-use, and we never store a usable copy of one.

More than one location

Run several under one brand, switch between them, and report on one, some or all.

Each location keeps its own services, staff, hours and appointments. You are not forced to run them as one salon or as strangers.

Help you can actually reach

Written answers, a ticket that goes to a person, and a call if it needs one.

The help center is open while you are still setting up, which is when people need it most. Tickets are read by a person, not a bot with a script.

Your screen

Run orders on a tablet by the pass, or on the phone in your pocket.

Ask us what setup to run and the answer is always the same: a screen by the pass showing nothing but orders, with email arriving underneath it as the backup. If you already have a spare tablet or an old iPad, that is the setup - it costs you nothing and it works today.

Recommended

A tablet on the counter, plus email

About $75 for the tablet and stand, bought from Amazon yourself. Already have a spare tablet? Use it, and this costs nothing.

This is the setup we recommend and the one that works best in a real salon: one screen that does nothing but show the day, so a booking is never competing with somebody's texts. Email keeps arriving underneath it as the backup.

You need: A screen you can leave at the front desk, and a plug.

Also fine

Email only, on what you already own

Free. Nothing to buy, nobody to talk to.

The whole product works this way, and plenty of salons run on it happily. Sign up tonight, take bookings in the morning, never speak to us. The catch is that a booking is one notification among all the others on a phone somebody is also using for everything else.

You need: A phone, tablet or laptop you already have, and somebody watching that inbox during service.

Also fine

A kitchen printer as well

You buy the printer. We do not sell them and make nothing on them.

Paper tickets, for a front desk that would rather work off paper. Email still arrives as the backup when the roll runs out. This one is inherited from the restaurant product and is not the recommended setup for a salon.

You need: A cloud-connected receipt printer and ten minutes to pair it during setup.

It is a recommendation, not a requirement. Use a tablet you already have, or skip the screen entirely and let orders arrive as an email on the phone or laptop you already own. Both are free and both are the whole product working.

  • The software is free to you. There is no monthly fee and no card to sign up. We make our money from a small service fee on the customer's bill, and the customer sees it on its own line.
  • You set the whole thing up yourself. Nothing to book, nobody to wait for. The one part we do for you is the service list: send it over and we type it in, free, because that is the bit people give up on.
  • What we tell everybody to do is put a screen by the pass, so orders are not competing with somebody's texts. If you have a spare tablet or an old iPad already, use that - it costs you nothing.
  • If you do not have one, the tablet and stand we recommend come to about $75 from Amazon. You buy them yourself at Amazon's price. We do not sell them and make nothing on them.
  • You are not forced into any of it. Orders can come to you as an email on the phone or laptop you already have. That is free too, and it is the whole thing working.
  • Want appointments printing at the desk too? Buy a cloud printer and pair it during setup. That one is always yours to buy - we do not sell printers.
  • Right now the tablet is not an app. It opens your orders page in its browser, like any website. Your own laptop or phone works the same way.
  • An Android app for the tablet is coming, and it will be free. You download it onto the tablet you already have. Nothing you set up now gets thrown away.

You set it up yourself, and there is nothing to book.

  • You set it up yourself, in the order the screen asks for it. There is no call to book and nobody to wait for.
  • Send us your price list and we will build it for you, free. It is the longest part of setup and the one people give up on, so it is the part we do.
  • Everything else takes minutes each: your hours, who takes bookings, and connecting Stripe so you get paid.
  • Stuck or something is broken? Message us and a person answers. Support is the part we do not automate.

What you are not asked for

  • The software costs your salon nothing. No monthly fee, no setup fee, no card at signup.
  • No contract, no minimum number of bookings, and no trial that turns into a bill.
  • The customer list you build is yours. Export it whenever you like, including on the way out.
  • The tablet and stand are bought by you, from Amazon, at Amazon's price. We do not resell them and make nothing on them.
  • Nothing is required. A phone or laptop you already own is a complete setup, and orders arrive by email on it.
  • A receipt printer is optional and you buy that one too. Most salons never do.

The software is free to your salon. No monthly fee, no setup fee, no card to sign up, and no contract. A $2.99 booking fee sits on the client's bill at checkout, shown to them as its own line, and that is the only money we make.

Android tablet

around $50

A 10-inch tablet that sits at the front desk and shows the day's appointments as they come in. It is the screen the salon watches while it works.

See it on Amazon

Counter stand

around $25

An adjustable stand that holds the tablet up at the counter so nobody has to prop it against the till.

See it on Amazon

For now the tablet runs the website version - your dashboard in its browser. Nothing to install, and the same dashboard opens on any laptop or phone you already own. An Android app you can download onto the tablet is coming, and it will be free too.

Coming: the Android app

An Android app for the tablet is coming. It will be free, you will download it onto the same tablet, and it does the same job as the website does today - just quicker to open. Nothing you set up now has to be redone.

Start to finish

What actually happens when someone orders.

In order, from them finding you to the money being in your bank.

  1. 1

    A client finds you

They search your name, tap Book Online on your Google listing, scan the QR at your desk, or follow the link in your bio. Your page opens - your logo, your services, your prices.

  2. 2

They pick a service and a person

They choose what they want, who they want to do it, and then see only the times that person is genuinely free. They can also pick whoever is available first.

  3. 3

    They pay a deposit

By card at booking, before the slot is held. The booking fee is shown as its own line before they pay. The deposit goes to your own account, not ours.

  4. 4

    You are told, within seconds

The appointment appears on your board with a sound and lands in every inbox on your list. Both, not one of them.

  5. 5

    They are reminded, twice

A confirmation goes out straight away, then a reminder the day before and another a couple of hours ahead. A canceled appointment stops getting them.

  6. 6

They arrive and you check them in

If they want something different once they are in the chair, you can change the service and what is owed without canceling anything.

  7. 7

    They pay the balance

The deposit already came off. You collect the rest however you normally do. If they never turned up, you mark it and keep the deposit, with a time against it.

  8. 8

    You keep the client

Their name, number and what they booked are on your list from that moment, and the list is yours to download whenever you want.

  9. 9

    The money reaches your bank

On Stripe's payout schedule, from your own account. We never held it.

Straight about it

What it does not do.

Every platform has a gap. Ours is here rather than in the small print, because finding it after you have signed up is worse for both of us.

Every booking takes a card

There is no book-now-pay-later option. The deposit is charged at booking, which is what holds the chair and what pays for the software. You can set a deposit of nothing on a service, and the booking fee still applies.

No register, inventory or payroll

This books appointments. It sits beside whatever you already use to ring up a sale, count stock or pay your stylists.

No memberships, packages or gift cards

You sell a service and take a deposit on it. There is nothing here that sells ten of something up front.

No walk-in queue

Appointments are booked for a time. There is no take-a-number list for people who turned up.

No room or chair assignment

A booking holds a person's time, not a specific chair, room or basin.

No text messages

Everything to your clients goes by email. There is no SMS.

No loyalty or points scheme

You get the client list and can export it. There is no stamp card built in.

No two-way calendar sync

Your appointments live here. They do not write themselves into a personal Google calendar, and a busy block there does not close a slot here.

If you need one of these, tell us anyway. What owners ask for is how we decide what to build next, and we would rather hear it than have you sign up and find out. Send us a message.

Not yet

What is being built.

Not available today. Listed because owners ask, and because a page that never mentions them reads as though the answer is no forever. No dates, because we would only be guessing at one.

Apps for iPhone and AndroidComing soon

Your appointment board is a website today, and it already opens on any tablet or phone you point at it - there is nothing to install and nothing held back from it. Native apps for iPhone and Android are being built, so it sits on the home screen like any other app, keeps you signed in, and can wake a tablet that has gone to sleep. Both will be free.

Rescheduling from the client's own linkComing soon

A client can cancel from their appointment page today. Moving an appointment to another time without ringing you is being built, and it has to respect the same availability rules the booking page does, which is why it is not simply a date picker.

Nothing here is required for what you sign up for today, and nothing you pay changes when one of them arrives. Everything above this section works now.

That is the whole product.

No higher tier, no feature held back, no monthly bill and no cut of your takings. Create the account, add your services, put the link on your Google listing.

We use cookies to keep you signed in and, if you accept, to measure which adverts bring salon owners here. Decline and only the sign-in ones are set. This is our own site only, never a salon's booking page. What we store
